Children should visit the dentist twice a year as part of their preventative care routine. The more that a child visits the dentist, the fewer problems they’ll experience and the more comfortable they will be when being seen. Our goal here at Fit to Smile Dental is to provide a family-friendly experience that ensures that your children receive the best quality care that they possibly can. We are happy to work with kids and teens of all ages, and are even equipped to handle small babies and toddlers who need to be established with a quality dental provider.
What is Pediatric Dentistry?
Pediatric dentistry involves the scope of practice specific to kids. Children have different dental needs than adults, especially when it comes to their baby (primary) teeth coming in and falling out to make room for the permanent teeth. Oftentimes, older children and teens will need orthodontic treatment and we can provide this to them using state-of-the-art technology. We do our best to use kid-friendly terminology at all times while your children are being seen. This keeps their experience with us non-scary and comfortable.

Why does your child need routine Pediatric Care?
We recommend that children establish with a dentist as soon as you begin to notice their first baby teeth coming in. This ensures that the teeth are kept healthy and clean at all times and that small problems are corrected before they’re allowed to get worse. We offer a variety of different preventative procedures and options, including dental sealants and fluoride treatments. As your child begins to establish themselves in our practice, they should come in twice a year for checkups and cleanings. If tooth decay or other issues are found at any time, we can schedule your child to come in for a separate appointment to have them done.
Our mission is to provide your children with the calm, comfortable and compassionate care that they need without feeling afraid to come into the office. We work with patients of all ages and can provide the dental treatment that you and the rest of your family needs.
